Delivered Proactis interface and Payroll go‑live on time in November 2024, hitting 100% of agreed milestones.

What we did
NCC went live with Unit4 ERP in Feb 2024 and found there were several parts of the system that they required assistance to resolve from the build of the software (NB: Build consultants were not Equinox) and therefore Equinox were approached to assist as we had help them through UAT and planned the cut over form their old systems to Unit4 ERP for them due to internal staff shortages.
As we worked so well with NCC they asked us to provide the consultants to help them move the system into a state of BAU and tidy up some of the areas which they needed to be resolved urgently. We are also involved with designing their Payroll Implementation, which is separate to this contract.
This contract specifically is to look at the transition to BAU and to train the internal staff to be able to support the system fully, and to then provide them the back up needed for support when the internal staff are not able to carry out the tasks.
We are arranging training sessions for various levels of expertise within their organisation, from beginners to experienced IT professionals, along with providing the documentation that they are missing.
As part of the contract, we have also finalised the design of the entire Planner module to enable them to carry out their budgeting and forecasting and aided with designing the way in which their subscriptions will work.
We have also stepped in on several occasions when there have been major issues occur due to errors from the build of the system and worked hard with NCC to ensure they are comfortable with the outcomes provided ensuring everything is documented to avoid issues arising again.
We have also been involved with the design, testing and release of their Proactis interface, along with the design, testing and release of the payroll element of Unit4 ERP which is set to Go Live in November 2024.
The Challenge
NCC found themselves with several single points of failure, and as with many implementation projects there was a great deal of pressure on the internal staff who were pushed by commitments to their day job and the project.
We came into NCC and worked very well with the internal staff ensuring they felt that they were fully included in all aspects of the work we were carrying out so as to not add additional levels of pressure.
“Dawn and her team provided an exemplary service at a time when we had lost critical resource during a Unit 4 implementation. I was particularly impressed at how Dawn listened carefully to our needs, she did not assume anything and tailored her response accordingly. From the outset Dawn communicated well and as a result we very quickly developed a strong relationship built on trust and mutual understanding.
The team behind Dawn at Equinox shared her passion and enthusiasm which was very helpful as with all implementations it is difficult to maintain momentum thankfully, we did. The resources provided at that critical time were technically excellent & respectful and I was particularly grateful that they took time to educate the in-house team when new and unexpected issues arose. This meant that we were slowly building up the in-house team who gained confidence in their own ability to manage the system post go live.
Dawn is the consummate professional with a very human touch. Her team share her brand of integrity and professionalism & I always felt they were ‘with us’ and as passionate and driven for success as we the in-house team were. Perhaps the most valuable thing to me as Programme Director was Dawn’s ability to muster the precise skillset, we had lost due to illness, within a few days which meant we could keep pushing towards our critical milestones.
The implementation of any ERP system is not for the faint hearted. I am delighted that at a point of resource crisis I became aware of Dawn through a network contact, and she was able to rise to the challenge with a minimum amount of fuss.
It is my absolute pleasure to endorse Dawn Coupe and Equinox Consulting who went above and beyond what could have been expected and helped to ensure we went live with an informed team and operational system

You are the decision maker of last resort. You hold the joined up picture in your head. Problems escalate because no one owns the whole flow.
That means switching off is risky, scaling feels heavier than it should, and every week includes more firefighting than progress. This scorecard is designed to show you why.
